FinePoll is a place where people can share opinions. If you're like me, you're never short of opinions.
What can I do on FinePoll?
You can vote and comment on polls, view poll results, vote on poll popularity, and get code to put FinePoll polls on your own web site. Please note that you need to register in order to vote on poll popularity. As FinePoll grows, I might add additional features. If you have a feature suggestion, tell me about it.
What about privacy stuff?
When you register, you're required to create a user name, a password and to enter your email address so I can send a confirmation email. You have to follow the instructions in the confirmation email to confirm that you did, in fact, register, and to activate your account. At no time is your email address ever publically available on the site, nor will I in any way share it with anyone else.
How do I vote on a poll?
If the poll name is a link, that means it's active and you can click through and vote. After you vote, you'll automatically be taken to the results.
Why can't I click on the 'Create a Poll' link?
You need to be registered and logged in to create a poll.
Why can't I click on the 'My Polls' link?
You need to be registered and logged in to access the My Polls feature. My Polls only tracks polls you vote on while you're logged in. If you vote on a poll and aren't logged in when you do, it won't be tracked in My Polls.
How do I create poll?
First you have to register. After you confirm your registration and your account is active, you can log in and access the Create a Poll feature. Simply follow the instructions to create your own polls.
I created a poll, like, a week ago, and it's still not on the site. Why?
If your created poll doesn't show up after a week, it didn't meet FinePoll poll guidelines and was disapproved.
What are FinePoll create a poll guidelines?
They're listed in the first step of the Create a Poll process, but here they are again:
When I try to vote on poll popularity, I get a message that reads 'you must be logged in to vote for the polls you like or dislike!'
You have to register and be logged in on order to vote on poll popularity.
How can I put a FinePoll on my own site?
Click on the 'put this poll on your site link' and follow the instructions. This feature is available to everyone whether you are registered and logged in or not.
How can see poll results without voting?
Once a poll has at least one response, you can click on the 'view results' link to see the results whether you have voted or not.
How are you going to keep people from voting more than once?
I hired the CIA and FBI to spy on you. If they see you voting more than once....
